Just wanted to say that SSCX is finaly up and runing again. I was told that it was a major router problem that was the cause of the servers not to be available and there for a server move was made.

1-Click find servers.
2-Put sscentral.vie.co.uk as the 'directory server'
3-Download List.
4-Remove SSCX Servers from you're right side, and then add the NEW ones from the left side, and wellah, there ya go!

Well... Just wanted to share some good news with the rest of you. I've been accepted into the Trenchwars Zone Staff. Just as Zone Helper (ZH), nothing fancey or anything. Just trying to boost my self-confidence (or ego).

On a more productive note, I've also been accepted into the staff of a Board Host. This host gives you plenty of design oppertunitys, no banners and it's all free. Hello everyone,
this is the very tired/very happy to be back home Rude Awakening here. After being in Washington D.C. to see Bush get inagurated in (grrr), I am back on the job. Finals are over and school has eased up on me. Expect to see tons of things get updated in the near future.

I promised A Citizen that he would be in charge and I haven't been able to make the transition yet. I have asked hedcase for the ftp and once I get it I can get A Citizen rolling on that project.

Staff will be changed on that and more editorials will be up in the near future.

SSCX A Small WarZone has a brand new site here. This zone has average sized player base that has around 30-40 players on during the afternoons. Zone is similar to SSCU Warzone but it has less flags and smaller map with unique settings. Any newcomer to Subspace flagging game should defiantly consider ASWZ as their starting point.

That's right, a whopping 10 MILLION JACKPOT. It will be for private freqs. Subspace Council Website Debuts! hedcase1 | Monday, January 8, 2001

The brand spanking new SS Council website went online today as the first project of a joint venture between Subspace.Net and SubspaceHQ.Com. Mackieman had this to say about the new site that plans to be the launching pad for all future announcements and information from the SS Council:

"Today at 4PM EST, SSCouncil.Net went live. This new site for the community contains all the info on the SubSpace Council, its members, and will become the first stop for new players to the game, as well as a host of information for all current players, with links to all the major community resources. Get Higher Resolution BoKi | Sunday, January 7, 2001

Are you one of those who got the greatest hardware that supports a high screen resolution but have problems with getting Subspace to realize this? Do you play Quake3 in 1600*1200 but Subspace only let you play in 1024*768? Then here's the tool for you!

After some talking with my old squad member V_I_R_U_S I got him persuaded into make a setup file with ALL files needed for his ssresforce program that I got my hands on in the beginning of this week. So now everyone should be able to enjoy this tool.

SSResForcer 1.x forces the subspace client resolution up to the resolution you want (max 2048*1536 and only if your hardware supports it). It does how ever not alter any MAX settings that the server software might have set (ex. TrenchWars can't be played in highter then 1280*1024 even though you uses this tool).

Hey everyone, Birdhouse here again. If you didn't already know, a fellow subspace player, tekkio, died in a tragic car accident on New Years Eve. 2Cool^4^U asked me to make a post about him. So 2Cool^4^U has some things to say about him.

"Sad news - A great player of SSCX Extreme Games (tekkio) died on New Year's Eve in a car accident. It is hard to see him go at such a younge age. He was also a great member of "Fury Squad" also the leader. We want to give our sympathy to all his family. I would like everyone to take a moment to remember our good friend tekkio. May he rest in peace."

DSB.com cheanged their board yesterday. Some bugs with special characters still exist that you should be aware of so go and read what loops have to say aswell!

SSArena: "Loops has finally finished with the new message board and its up and running, http://deathstarbattle.com/boards/ He has solved and fixed many of the glitches, errors and faults, but some may exist (give the guy a break). This message board requires an account with password, so no more false posters, hopefully.

READ!: One problem people are having is that there name they have been using for quite some time in the old board is already taken. THAT IS NOT TRUE. If you have used the old message board in the past and supplied a real email when you posted, your account has already been created. To get this password that you never set up:
1. Act as if you are going to post a message and get to that screen
2. Under where it says Password:, it says lost your password? click it.
3. Enter in the name that you were using in the past, and enter in the email that you used for the old message board.
4. Wait till it emails you with a new password. Follow its instructions, and after you have logged back in with your old nick, you can change your password."

SSCC Flag Warz! Birdhouse-Projects | Friday, January 5, 2001

Hey everyone, Birdhouse-Projects here. My zone is now up on SSCC! I have heard nothing but good things about it and if you like flagging, you will love it! Fast paced flagging with 40 FLAGS up for grabs! Warzone type settings and lots of iteams. It has 4 subarenas which are also REALLY fun. The most talked about is the super arena. It is CRAZY! I have had 10 people in there at once and i've never seen so many bombs in my life! Me and KockOfTheWok (The other sysop) have spent a long time on this zone and we like the way it turned out. It's like a mix of Extreme Games, Oklahoma Badlands, and a litte bit of Death Star Battle. So I hope you all check it out, and I'm sure that you'll have fun. :)

This isn't realy "news" since this came up one week ago. But no one seem to have noticed it. Tapion over at SFSS.org have made a hilarious movie "trailer" that you can download here (RAM format 5.3MB).

This is as I said just a "trailer" and it might end as just this but Tapion have put up a poll on the site and if he gets enough good feedback the project will "hopefully" go on to be the real thing!

As you all Trenchwars lovers might have noticed, the trenchwars homepage have been down quite long now so I felt obligated to investigate a little as I "know" the webmaster.

It seems they are moving the servers and are awaiting some minor alternations in the setup. Unfortunatly slowbob can't tell exactly when the site will be up again, he only sais it'll be back up soon.

So not much more to say but to keep a look out and when it gets online we'll post a message about it. In the meen time we can all get back to the hard reality of war since the old map is back up.

Ok now to the real reason im posting. After several weeks ok host seeking i finally found CanLink. Also, on Friday 9 pm eastern i will TRY to host an event. Probably elimination.

SSCC Team Killin Rude Awakening | Thursday, January 4, 2001

Finally after long last the zone "Team Killin" is now hosted under SSCC. If you don't remember what the zone is, it is the zone where you can actually kill someone on the same team. I know you are thinking what is the point but with this you actually have to aim at walls and objects to kill your opponent which creates the need for better acuracy in bomb shooting. Also cause it's fun! Anyways, to celebrate this, Team Killin is hosting a Grand Opening event in SSCC Team Killin. (Of course) The event will be a week from this Friday at 9:30pm EST. The event will be team killing of course but you will be paired up into turrets.

To start it off. DSB has lost it's jolly spirit by taking down the DSB christmas map and putting back the old one. For all those who felt leet and went through the south wall to get to the www.deathstarbattle.com logo that is now fixed. No one can get down there atleast without abusing a bug.

There have been many account lately of people leaving maps by means of abusing bugs. This is worth a temporary ban if you do not go back when a OP tells you to. Keep in mind that OPs have been upholding the law all day so don't give them a hard time.

Speedball and Elim were down last week. I did not get much info from loops besides they were down because the just died. I will try to get more info.

Those that are doing league HURRY UP and sign up at www.deathstarbattle.com/league/ you can not play for 30 days after you sign so hurry and do so quick and tell your squaddie leader to invite you into the squad. Some pre-league games are being played already which means that the league is already started and you are ALREADY late!
